Success matters at Rouxbe! We focus on quality of recipes and a learning process, rather than quantity of recipes.

To accomplish this, we encourage you to rate recipes based on cooking success rather than on popularity, pretty pictures or individual likes and dislikes. Did you get the desired end result? Did the recipe help you cook better?

Success starts with great recipes. So how do we select our content?

First of all, who said that only celebrity chefs were great cooks. Some of the best cooks are home cooks that are passionate about great food. So we invite everyone to submit recipes to Rouxbe.

But we don’t want you to have to wade through a 100,000 recipes to find the one that works. To help you find tried and tested recipes that drive success, we have developed a filtering process that starts in our "Test Kitchen". Here anyone can submit a recipe. But only the best recipes get to become a Rouxbe Certified or Video recipe. And here is how it gets there:

1. Every recipe on Rouxbe starts in our Test Kitchen (text) - even Rouxbe’s.
2. The top Test Kitchen recipes advance to Rouxbe Certified recipes (text).
3. Top Rouxbe Certified recipes advance and qualify for Video Recipes.

And to keep us honest, even Rouxbe submits our recipe ideas to the Test Kitchen. Who said we were the best? No matter who the author, we then film the content that drives the highest success ratings.

Rouxbe offers it's skill and technique videos and text Drill-downs and all video supported text recipes for free. Other content is only available to our Premium Members.
